Alan Cox is considered one of the most diligent spellers in broadcasting. After his start as a stand-up comedian and banjo pioneer twenty years ago, Alan began his broadcasting career as a producer at WLUP/Chicago. He went on to host "award"-winning shows at WXDX/Pittsburgh and Q101/Chicago, as well as national programs from New York, Boston, Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles. Alan has written for Maniac magazine, spent six years on TV as a commentator for WQED/Pittsburgh, and was arena host for the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins and the WNBA's Chicago Sky. He has been seen hosting for Discovery.com, has narrated documentaries on the Big Ten Network, and voiced numerous national commercials. Alan's extracurricular activities include crushing on the drums, blindfolded spelunking, and gene-splicing a yak with a sweet potato. He lives in Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood, where he subsists primarily on tequila and organic apples, and cannot swim. Alan is heard weekday mornings on 106.7 The D/ Detroit and afternoons on 100.7 WMMS/ Cleveland. He is not for everyone.

Some one at my work reminds me of you to a T. Looks, attitude, jokes, vocabulary. It makes work far from easy. - TinyB
